Assisting with charitable efforts holds a high moral weighting to the workforce at Stewart’s Electric Motor Works. Numerous members of our company are actively involved in the work of charities. Here we would like to mention the work of our technician Evan Waldorf and his wife Cindy, who donate much of their time to volunteering for the Dreamflight Children’s Charity.

Dreamflight is a UK based children’s charity that annually flies 192 disabled and severely ill children to Orlando, FL for ten full days of adventure without their parents. Established in 1987, the ethos of the charity is to give these children a sense of independence, confidence and the opportunity to meet new friends with disabilities.

Dreamflight seeks to remind these children that their illness does not limit them as a person. With the help of endless medical staff, physiotherapists and volunteers the children can spend their fun packed vacation participating in all the activities that any other child would.

For many of these children their ‘Dreamflight’ is a pivotal point in their lives. Eight returning Paralympians from Beijing have been former Dreamflight children, accrediting the experience as a major influence on their lives.

With this we would like to congratulate Evan and Cindy for dedicating so much of your energy and time to such a deserving cause year upon year. We are very proud to have you as a member of our team.
